"World Audiologists Day"  (https://www.facebook.com/audiologistsday) is originated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ozlem KONUKSEVEN, the president of OKSUD TURKEY, led by Turkish Audiology. It was  admitted by 33 countries and celebrated for the first time internationally on  “VII Turkish  National Audiology and Speech Congress” on 10 Oct 2014 with the participation of  President of Turkish Society of Audiology & Speech - Voice Assoc. Prof. Özlem KONUKSEVEN, The President of European Federation of Audiology Societies (EFAS) Prof Jan WOUTERS,Prof Dr.  Christine YOSHINAGA-ITANO from Colorado University,  Glenn William Bunting from  Harvard University, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

The date is chosen by the motto “Ten to Ten Audiologist must be  Perfect” for the Audiologists who accept the  importance of hearing and speech in communication and its indispensability for being a social individual as professional principles.

This year on 10 Oct 2015, to celebrate The World Audiologists Day, our guest of honor is Professor Dr. James Jerger,the founder and father of Audiology. On October 10th we will perform a march with international participation.  Our goal is to create an awareness on “hearing loss is no longer a handicap” on behalf of the international audiology and hearing community as a force for hearing health

9th of October  will be scholarly by the presentations and panels with our esteemed researchers and teachers who are clued-up in their field. There will be social activities to celebrate the “World audiologists Day “ on 10 October and on 11st of October, training and courses about technological innovations in the international hearing sector will be held.
